At Etz Hayim, Shabbat is always for children of all ages and their parents. Children’s attendance at our services is encouraged and fulfills the mitzvah of passing our cherished Jewish customs from generation to generation. We also welcome children’s participation — from assisting our Rabbi in leading prayers to singing Bim Bam!
If children become restless, they can take a break in our family room, which is attached to the sanctuary.
We want each and every family to feel at home at Etz Hayim. You and your family belong here. We look forward to sharing tefilla with you!
Additional Information
Friday & Saturday Services
Sign up here to lead a portion of the service, a prayer or two, and/or read Torah or Haftorah.
Non-members of Etz Hayim are welcome to participate, read, and lead.
All ages, including pre-B’nai Mitzvah are welcome to sign up for anything. We’d love post-B’nai mitzvah to lead the Kaddishes and Barechu.
If you want to participate but need more practice, help or coaching, contact chief.gabbai@etzhayim.net.
Thursday Morning Minyan
Have a yahrzeit or another occasion where you need a minyan? Add your initials here to request a Thursday morning minyan. When you make this request, a call is sent out to Minyan Makers to help to ensure a minyan.
If you would like to help lead or chant Torah on Thursday morning, or if you would like to be added to the list of Minyan Makers, please contact chief.gabbai@etzhayim.net.
Jewish Holidays & Observances
We observe Simchat Torah, Sukkot, Hanukkah, Tu B’shevat, Purim, Pesach, Yom Hashoah, Yom Ha’atzmaut, Shavuot, Lag B’Omer, Tisha B’av, and other holidays.
Our Purim Carnival, Simchat Torah Klezmer celebration, and High Holiday services are just some of the year’s highlights for our congregation. We welcome you to join in our observance and celebration.
Please check the synagogue calendar for event details and any scheduling changes prior to all events.
